Competition Format


Overview

Asian Business Case Competition @ Nanyang (ABCC) is an international undergraduate business case competition with a focus on both business and sustainability. Established in 2007, ABCC is organised by Business Solutions, a student-driven initiative to promote the business case culture in the Nanyang Business School.

The Competition

Teams will have 40 hours to analyse the assigned case and develop a presentation based on their analysis and recommendations. The case would be centred around an Asian-based organisation. During the semi-finals, all teams will present their solutions before a panel of judges. Three teams will advance to the finals where they will present the same case to a different panel of judges. Each presentation would consist of a 15 minute powerpoint presentation, followed by a 15 minute Question & Answer session. The Finals would take place on the last day of ABCC, and is open to students and academics from all tertiary institutions in Singapore.

Judges

The judging panel for the competition comprises of industry professionals including top management executives and consultants from various disciplines and industries. With their experience, they will gauge originality and actionability of the presented solution.

Participants

ABCC will see 9 teams, from major universities all over the world, compete and exchange ideas over the rigorous four-day programme. Each team comprises of 4 students, with an accompanying faculty adviser. This competition provides a platform to develop leadership skills, entrepreneurial business skills and international networks among undergraduates.
