This year, for the fifth year running, the organising committee is proud to present to you the Sustainable Enterprise Challenge (SEC) 2018, a unique segment of the 6-day Asian Business Case Competition that is targeted at encouraging more to further the worthy cause of sustainability.

Featuring a case study of a successful, home-grown enterprise which has shown notable commitment to sustainability, SEC 2018 is a competition that requires local participants to develop completely novel ideas or adapt existing practices from the case company to improve sustainability performance of an organization close to our hearts.

Within the challenge, participants will be presented with information about the company as well as the organisation. This will aid them in their subsequent idea generation and challenge submission. Finalists earn themselves an opportunity to present their recommendations to a panel of esteemed judges and obtain valuable feedback on the feasibility and practicality of their solutions. Participants will also have the chance to network with esteemed professionals and experts from top enterprises in Singapore, with the possibility of securing career-related opportunities. Moreover, this is one of the rare chances for them to interact with top international participants who will be competing in ABCC 2018.

SEC is a great opportunity to apply your analytical skills and creativity to real-life situations. The best teams will walk away with attractive cash prizes so register and get involved in this unique experience!

Equipped with knowledge about our featured enterprise, international participants are then given the opportunity to experience being at the other end of case competitions: judging. Having participated in numerous case competitions and accumulated a wealth of experience on how they can value-add to a company, we believe that they will definitely be able to provide insightful feedback to our SEC participants.

Therefore, we will be inviting our international participants to experience a judge’s point-of-view and evaluate the recommendations proposed by the local SEC participants, alongside esteemed industry leaders. This also introduces a different perspective into the judging of SEC while offering ABCC participants a fresh outlook on case solving and can help them in crafting their solutions during the ABCC main case.
